It took me 3 days but I finally finished A WILD PURSUIT by Eloise James. This is the third in her series.
It is my least favorite; Rated it a C-. The heroine, Bea and the hero, Stephen get lost as Ms. James weaves subplots of Esme and Sebastian...who appear in the first book DUCHESS IN LOVE, with whoses Esme's baby her deceased husband's or Sebastian her lover. Then we have Helena and her estranged husband who lives in the London home with his opera singer mistress, while poor Helena lives loveless with her mother. Toss in Esme's aunt Arebella who is also Bea's godmother while having a country party with some nasty ladies. Now the plot and all the characters are so confusing it starts to drag.
Bea is matchmaking Stephen with Helena in hopes if they have an affair Rees, Helena's husband will want her back. But then Esme claims Stephen as her fiancee to keep Sebastian at bay. And Stephen is like a puppet on a string.....these women just toss him around like a ball. One minute he is kissing Bea, then in Helene's bed, then with Esme, then back to Bea....so on.

I would highly recommend the other 2 books in the series....DUCHESS IN LOVE & FOOL OF LOVE, I hope when Ms. James get to the fourth book she leaves Esme, Sebastian, Arebella, and any other distractions in the country. I know Helena and Rees work out their marriage in the 4 th books plus another h/h.

I can read 2 HP or S in a day, here are the two I read last night. Both emotional roller coasters.

I read TERMS OF POSSESSION by Elizabeth Power (HP1838)
The hero is married to the heroine's best friend who can't have children. They ask the heroine to have a baby for them in exchange for money....her mother needs heart surgery. They want the baby conceived the natural way so the h/h go to a hotel for the weekend.

After she is pregnant she sees her best friend in a car making out with another man....she tells the hero she will not be giving up her baby even though she took the money. Wife leaves the hero, he hates the heroine and forces her to live in a cottage in the country.
Wife dies, they marry....fight until he finds out what she did with the money.

Then I finished EYE OF HEAVEN by Michelle Reid.
A photographer and an actress fall into strong lust. The decide to live together....they are very happy together until the ex-wife comes into the picture and wants to remarry the hero and he tells her yes.
The heroine is angry, hurt, and tells the hero not to come back to her because she could never forgive him.

Not sure what I will read today......I set aside THE MARRIAGE AGREEMENT by Carolyn Davidson....I just never felt a connect with the hero or heroine. The book dragged from the beginning. This doesn't have very often with a Davidson book, I've only had it happen once before.

Since we only have basketball showing on all TVs tonight, I plan on finishing THE MARRIAGE AGREEMENT by Carolyn Davidson.
this is a test to see if comments have been added.

I am still reading Carolyn Davidson's THE MARRIAGE AGREEMENT, didn't read much yesterday.
Then in the mail Fatin sent me EYE OF HEAVEN by Michelle Reid, I read the first few chapters because I couldn't resist it!

This past week I received my HHs, HSRs, & HMs.....I can't believe I've subscribed to three different lines at Harlequin. What fun!
