Well, it took a week but I finally finished the twin's story LORD OF FIRE & LORD OF ICE. I can say I honestly enjoyed Lucien much more than Damien, didn't even picture them as twins in my mind they are so different. The titles fit the twins perfectly Lucien is fire, hot, sexy while Damien is ice, cold, remote, didn't show up for his own book.

Lucien was bad, a real bad boy.....oh,how I love a bad boy.....Alice, his heroine was good, a real goody two shoes. This couple had sparks, when he frisked her for weapons I held my breath all the way up her thigh.

Now Miranda seem too much of a teenager playing an adult to me, leaving this story very flat. The best part of the book is seeing Robert, Bel, Lucien and Alice. Meeting Billy Blade who is the hero in LADY OF DESIRE, which is next up for me.

I will say there was a surprise in LORD OF ICE.....on the New Year's Eve when the fireworks are going off and Damien is hiding in the closet, how Miranda takes his mind off of rockets exploding took me by surprise. LOL

Anyway, I gave LORD OF ICE a C because he is in good family.

The powerful tale of a hero tempted by the one woman he is forbidden to love....

Damien Knight, the earl of Winterley, is proud, aloof, and tormented by memories of war. Though living in seclusion, he is named guardian to a fellow officer's ward. Instead of the young homeless waif he was expecting, however, Miranda FitzHubert is a stunning, passionate beauty who invades his sanctuary and forces him back into society. Struggling to maintain honor and self-control, Damien now faces an even greater threat: desire.

A bold, free spirit, Miranda has witnessed the darkest depths of Damien's soul -- and has seen his desperate need for love. But before she can thaw his unyielding heart, she must endure a terrifying nightmare of her own....
